UNIDEN DETECTORS SUBJECT OF LITIGATION FILED BY BEL-TRONICS

 ATLANTA, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Certain Uniden radar detectors are the subject of patent-infringement litigation filed today in U.S. District Court in Georgia by BEL-Tronics Limited (Canada) and BEL-Tronics Limited (U.S.).
 The defendants are both Uniden Corp. of Japan and Uniden America Corporation. The complaint seeks both money damages and injunctive relief against further infringement.
 R.E. Sagl Jr., spokesman for the BEL-Tronics companies, had this comment on the litigation: "The BEL-Tronics companies are proud to be leaders in the radar detector field. We are determined to preserve our competitive advantage arising from our proprietary technology."
