UNEMPLOYED OFFICE WORKER, BILLIE KAY DONALDSON, OF WASHINGTON, D.C.,
WILL APPEAR ON 'LIVE WITH REGIS & KATHIE LEE,' FEB. 24-28
As Part of Its 'Work Wanted Week'

NEW YORK, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Billie Kay Donaldson, an unemployed executive secretary from Washington, D.C., will appear on the daytime show, "Live With Regis & Kathie Lee," as part of its "Work Wanted Week" (next Monday-Friday, Feb. 24-28).
Donaldson is one of four struggling job hunters who will participate in "Live's" week-long look at successful strategies for re-entering the job market. The other guests -- also unemployed -- are an over-40 executive from San Francisco, a recent college graduate from Boston and an auto worker from St. Louis.
Human resources authority Tom Jackson, the author of such books as "Guerilla Tactics In The Job Market" and "The Hidden Job Market," will guide "Live's" four job seekers and its unemployed viewers through a week of invaluable insider tips:
-- Monday (Feb. 24): "Learning The New Rules of the Game"
-- Tuesday (Feb. 25): "Targeting the Right Job For You"
-- Wednesday (Feb. 26): "Finding Hidden Job Contacts"
-- Thursday (Feb. 27): "Writing The Perfect Resume"
-- Friday (Feb. 28): "Mastering That Nerve-racking Interview"
Donaldson, a housewife for 18 years because her husband would not allow her to work, was forced back into the job market when they divorced in 1981. With no college degree and out-of-date job skills, it has been a struggle ever since. Her longest-held position, as an executive secretary for a law firm, ended last December. Although she has office management and accounting experience, she has not been able to land a permanent position since, despite her willingness to accept a pay cut. Her biggest problem, she believes, is the fact that she is over 50.
Her savings devastated and living without major medical insurance, Donaldson says she is barely making her mortgage payments. Although she is a mother of three, her children are still too young to offer any financial assistance.
Tune into "Live" each day next week for the crucial tips that can make a difference in finding a job in today's recessionary economy.
