UN condemns Israeli raid violence, urges credible investigation.

New York, June 1(Petra)-The United Nations Security Council on Tuesday, condemned the Israeli military violent attack on a Gaza-bond aid flotilla, and demanded a full investigation.

The Security Council's 15 member governments agreed to a statement condemning Israeli violent acts which resulted in deaths of civilians .In its statement, the international body demanded a prompt, impartial, credible and transparent investigation conforming to international standards. The statement also requested the release of the ships and the captured civilians.

The 24-line statement, read to the 15-nation council by its president, Ambassador Claude Heller of Mexico, said the body "deeply regrets the loss of life and injuries resulting from the use of force during the Israeli military operation in the international waters against the convoy sailing to Gaza.
