 GOLDEN, Colo., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Coors Extra Gold has been chosen as one of only two American beers to be served at the newly opened Euro Disney theme park in Marne-La Vallee, France.
 "Europeans are renowned connoisseurs of beers. We're honored that they've selected Coors Extra Gold as one of the four brands that will be available at Euro Disney," said Director of International Marketing Mark Stankovic.
 The brand is a premium, full-bodied brew with extra flavor and a deep gold color.
 "Coors Extra Gold's taste and color naturally appeal to European consumers, and it's a good match with the flavor profile of European beers," Stankovic said. "We're excited about this opportunity to bring our product to the entire European community through one venue."
 The brand will be sold at hotels, bars and restaurants in the Euro Disney complex. It will be sold in a 33 cl. (11.5 ounce) long-neck bottle, the standard European package. A special French label has been designed for European distribution.
 Euro Disney is Coors' first entry into the French market and the brand is distributed by Francaise de Brasserie, a local brewery and importer.
 Coors Brewing Co. currently exports its products to overseas markets including Greece, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Bermuda and 250 U.S. military bases throughout the world.
 In December 1991, Coors announced a joint venture and licensing agreement with Scottish & Newcastle Breweries of Scotland to brew and market Coors Extra Gold in the United Kingdom.
 "In Europe, which is one of the company's largest potential export markets, Coors Extra Gold is leading the way," said Coors Extra Gold Brand Director Gary Skovsted. "Europeans prefer full-flavored beer, and research shows that Coors Extra Gold suits their taste pallets very well."
 Coors continues to explore other export opportunities throughout the world as part of its plan to become a major international brewer.
