 ULTRA-WHEELS TO BE FEATURED IN QUAKER OATS' CAP'N CRUNCH CEREAL
 PROMOTION
 MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- First Team Sports, Inc. (NASDAQ: FTSP) manufacturer of Ultra-Wheels in-line skates and related accessories, recently announced a special promotion with the Quaker Oats Company. Ultra-Wheels in-line skates will be one of the major prizes awarded in a sweepstakes featured on Quaker Oats' Cap'n Crunch Cereal.
 The "Who's The Real Cap'n?" promotion, which includes a game and sweepstakes, will be featured on 16 million packages of Cap'n Crunch cereal distributed nationally between January 1992 and March 1992. Twenty-five hundred pair of Ultra-Wheels in-line skates will be awarded through the sweepstakes.
 The promotion will be supported with national television advertising beginning Jan. 6, 1992, and ending Feb. 24, 1992. The television ads have been purchased with the goal of reaching over 20 million kids. A portion of the television ads will feature Ultra-Wheels in-line skates as one of four great sweepstakes prizes.
 John Egart, vice president of sales and marketing for First Team Sports, Inc., commented, "The children's segment of the in-line skate market continues to be an important part of our marketing strategy. We are excited to team up with Quaker Oats, one of the premier children's marketers, in this fun promotion that will reach millions of kids across the country."
 First Team Sports, Inc., manufactures and distributes high quality in-line roller skates and accessories under the trademarks Ultra-Wheels and Skate Attack. The company's products are manufactured and assembled to its specifications in the United States and foreign countries.
