 ULTIMAP CORPORATION ADDS SEVEN NEW EMPLOYEES
 ST. PAUL, Minn., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultimap Corporation


(NASDAQ: UMAPQ) announced today that it has added seven new employees in response to increasing demand for its geographic information systems (GIS) products and services. They are Rob Benoit, Raju Chithambaram, Ken Laemmle, Dick Lee, Dennis Leibold, Tim Nuteson and Jim Platt.
 Benoit joins Ultimap's Northeast Regional Office in Norwell, Mass., as a GIS Application Specialist. He brings to Ultimap over 5 years of GIS experience in a variety of environmental and municipal applications. A 1987 graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Benoit holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design.
 Chithambaram is a GIS Software Engineer in Ultimap's St. Paul headquarters. Chithambaram earned a master's degree in GIS from the University of Maine (one of three National Centers for Geographic Information Analysis). He has extensive design and development experience with several leading GIS packages.
 Laemmle and Nuteson are Data Conversion Specialists, also based at Ultimap headquarters, who were brought in to respond to increasing customer demand for data conversion services. Laemmle is a 1989 graduate of St. Paul Technical Institute and has several years of experience working with the UltiMap System software. Nuteson began his GIS experience at the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. He has used several leading GIS packages, including UltiMap, extensively prior to joining the company.
 Lee joins Ultimap as local government account manager for Minnesota. Lee has over 25 years of experience in a variety of technical consulting and management positions involving the use of computerized solutions in government.
 Leibold has joined the Southeast Regional Office in West Palm Beach, Fla., as a regional sales manager. Leibold earned degrees in economics and philosophy from Georgetown University and has over 20 years of experience in computer systems and workstations.
 A native Californian, Platt is relocating to the Twin Cities area with his family and joins the company as a GIS Application Specialist in the North Central Region. Platt has over 15 years experience in cartography, spatial analysis and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He received a bachelor's degree in geography and anthropology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and has undertaken graduate study in Geography at California State University, Northridge.
