 ULF TOILETS AT HOMEBASE WAREHOUSES
MEET DWP REBATE STANDARDS, SAVE HOMEOWNERS $100
FULLERTON, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Offering Los Angeles residents an exceptional home improvement savings opportunity, HomeBase home improvement warehouses in the Los Angeles area now carry a wide selection of Ultra Low Flush (ULF) toilets that meet the standards of the $100/75 Rebate Program sponsored by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (DWP).
To qualify for the rebate, ULF toilets must be certified by the manufacturer to use 1.6 gallons or less per flush and be approved by the DWP. HomeBase carries five toilets that meet the DWP's ULF specifications: "American Standard 'New Cadet Aquameter,'" "American Standard 'Renaissance,'" "American Standard 'Hydra,'" "American Standard 'Linear,'" and "Titon Industries 'The Baron R05.'" Priced from approximately $50 to $192, these ULF toilets are an excellent value in conjunction with the rebate plan.
The DWP rebate program, which was introduced in 1990, entered its second phase in July. The rebate offer applies to single-family customers (who receive a $100 rebate per toilet) and commercial/ multifamily/institutional customers (who receive a $75 rebate per toilet).
To qualify for a rebate, the applicant must be a City of Los Angeles DWP customer and must be replacing an existing non-ULF toilet with a new ULF toilet. Customers can reserve their rebate amount and obtain an application by calling the ULFT Rebate Center at 800-585-ULFT. The completed application, along with an original sales receipt for the installed toilet, must be returned within 60 days.
For trouble-free and affordable toilet installation, homeowners can now take advantage of HomeBase's team of licensed, professional contractors. Emphasizing high quality workmanship and value, HomeBase charges a flat fee for each installation job and guarantees all work for one year. In the Los Angeles area, for example, basic toilet installation is priced at approximately $59. HomeBase also offers installation on a wide range of other items, including garage door openers, water heaters and garbage disposers.
ULF toilets reduce water consumption, resulting in long-term savings on water bills. On average, a ULF toilet will reduce water usage by 35 gallons per day in a single-family home and save the homeowner $35 per year on his or her water bill.
One of the nation's leading chains of home improvement warehouses, HomeBase offers guaranteed lowest prices on more than 30,000 home improvement and decor items. Committed to friendly, knowledgeable customer service, each HomeBase warehouse includes a Project Center staffed by "certified experts" who provide product and project-related assistance.
HomeBase currently operates 84 locations in 12 western and midwestern states, including three warehouses in the City of Los Angeles: Canoga Park, North Hollywood and Slauson, Calif. The company is based in Fullerton, Calif. and is a division of Natick, Massachusetts-based Waban Inc.
