UK society praised by Premier.

THE Premier yesterday commended the role of British figures who worked in Bahrain in the past and were still in touch with the Bahraini community through the Bahrain British Friendship Society (BBFS).

He was speaking during a meeting with the society delegation headed by its President Peter Sincock.

The Premier affirmed that the government supported such societies whose activities enriched the official approach towards bolstering co-operation between two countries and extending new bridges on both official and public levels.

He said Bahrain was blessed with friendly people who always looked forward, with the support of its leadership, to enhance relations with other countries on the basis of mutual respect and benefit.

The Premier praised role of the BBFS, established 40 years back, in highlighting achievements and development in Bahrain.
