UK shop price inflation accelerates in May.

London, May 29 (Petra) -- UK shop prices have increased in May, reaching the second highest growth rate in the last six years, according to the latest figures. Shop price inflation accelerated to 0.8 per cent from 0.4 per cent in April, according to figures from the British Retail Consortium (BRC). Meanwhile, food inflation continued to decelerate in May to 1.8 per cent from 2.2 per cent in April, while non-food prices rose 0.2 per cent compared to a 0.6 per cent decrease in April. //Petra// AJ 29/05/2019 15:35:07
