UK Government sets up crime prevention web site.
The UK Government has launched a new web site that is dedicated to providing funding to fight organised crime and improve crime prevention.
Visitors to the web site - located at http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/oicd/eiu/homepage_agis.htm - can bid for funds for use in projects such as research and development programmes into fighting organised crime and crime prevention initiatives. The site also aims to promote the sharing of best practice across Europe and the development of European crime prevention policy.
All project bids must be submitted by 7 March 2003 for evaluation.
