UK Government joins Microsoft's Government Security Program.

The UK Government has joined the Government Security Program (GSP) initiative from Microsoft Corp.

Under the terms of the agreement the UK Government will receive controlled access to the Microsoft Windows source code and other technical information. This will enable UK Government security personnel to inspect Windows code line-by-line, simulate threats and assess vulnerabilities. UK Government security staff will also be invited to Microsoft's development facilities to view a number of aspects of Windows source code development, testing and deployment.

Any financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
