UAE set for futuristic banking.

Summary: Emirates NBD on Wednesday opened doors of its futuristic banking branch

with the help of its partners MasterCard, Visa, SAP and others.

The bank's futuristic banking space marks a significant milestone as Dubai's strengthens its credentials as a global innovation centre. Customers who visit Emirates NBD's new concept branch will experience three new futuristic zones.

The future banking zone will include beta-concept banking and payment innovations including 'The Future of Shopping' by MasterCard'; Visa's 'Connected Car', SAP's 'Home Purchase App', and SoftBank Robotics' 'Pepper', showcasing robot assisted services and a voice banking enabled service using Amazon's virtual assistant, Alexa (Echo).

The digital banking zone comes with spectacular LED imagery, 'avatars' and state-of-the-art automated self-service machines, offering customers a quicker, more convenient banking experience with Emirates NBD's award-winning digital banking solutions.

Customers who visit the new space will be greeted by Pepper, the first humanoid robot capable of recognising principal human emotions. To offer a unique experience, the robot has been integrated with the bank's systems in a global first, allowing Emirates NBD customers to get service tokens from Pepper using natural voice recognition.

A third advisory zone, the largest zone in the branch, is dedicated to offering Emirates NBD's convenient personal service to customers to help them with all their banking requirements.

Commenting on the new futuristic space, Abdulla Qassem, chief operating officer, Emirates NBD said: "The new branch concept seamlessly integrates next-generation digital technology with a human touch to offer a contemporary and enhanced banking experience that ultimately brings convenience to our customers."
