UAE Exchange down Brothergas for Corporate title.

Umm Al Quwain: UAE Exchange-Xpressmoney beat Brothergas CC by 26 runs to win the fifth Junior Corporate Twenty20 League, organised by the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association.

Electing to bat after winning the toss, UAE Exchange were led by a brilliant knock from Asim Ijaz, who blasted 77 from only 43 balls. His innings included eight hits to the fence and two over it.

Najaf Latif added a 12-ball 25 including three boundaries and a six as UAE Exchange posted 183 for five. Safdar Ali and Bahadur Ali scalped two wickets each.

Brothergas gave a strong response, with Safdar Ali striking 24 from 20 and Adnan Khan 21 from just 10 balls. And Hamza blasted an eight-ball 26 supported by four boundaries and a six.

But with wickets falling at regular intervals, it looked like UAE Exchange were within sight of victory when Bahadur Ali walked in. He slammed an unbeaten 48 from 25 balls including three boundaries and two sixes, Brothergas still fell 26 runs short.

Abid Ishtiaq claimed two wickets.

The tournament was held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.
