UAE, US meet to improve trade ties.

Abu Dhabi Jose Fernandez, US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, was in the UAE to attend the first US-UAE economic policy dialogue held on March 1. These discussions are scheduled to continue in the autumn when senior officials will meet in Washington, DC, Fernandez said.

"This is a dialogue that we believe was long overdue. It was long overdue because the relationship between our two countries is very tight, very strong," Fernandez said.

The discussions included talks about how to make investment opportunities in the UAE and in the United States easier and quicker for investors from both countries.
