 U.S.A.F. CHOOSES ODETICS BROADCAST TO AUTOMATE
 STATION OPERATIONS AT LAJES FIELD, AZORES
 ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The United States Air Force is installing equipment manufactured by Odetics Broadcast at the Air Force Broadcast Services facility at Lajes Field in the Azores. Included in the purchase is an Odetics TCS90 Cart Machine(TM), as well as an External Machine Controller and Traffic Interface.
 The Air Force installation at Lajes Field provides information and entertainment to all U.S. Military, DoD civilian personnel and family members stationed there. The Odetics equipment will be used to automate the broadcast day. It will also be used for satellite tape delay.
 Odetics (AMEX: O.A, O.B) manufactures products that provide information and control through automation. The company's Broadcast Division is credited with developing the first robotic large library management system for the television broadcast industry (1985), for which it received an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 1990.
