U.S. TECHNOLOGIES INC. ANNOUNCES LICENSING AGREEMENT AND NEW MANUFACTURING SOURCE

CHICAGO, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: USXX) today reported that Republic Technology Corporation, its wholly owned subsidiary, signed a Licensing Agreement with Comset International, Inc. ("Comset"). The agreement provides Comset with the right to build and market Republic's line of Local Area Network ("LAN") workstations under Comset's name. Comset, through its parent corporation, Comset International, Ltd. of Hong Kong, will also provide Republic a new, lower cost manufacturing source for its LAN workstations.
Comset estimates it will pay approximately $400,000 in licensing fees to Republic during the first year of the Licensing Agreement.
The Republic Workstations, or Remote Processing Modules ("RPM") are 386 and 486 based computers specifically designed for the local area network market. Ryan Corley, president of U.S. Technologies, Inc., stated, "We believe this agreement represents an excellent opportunity, particularly in our ability to lower our manufacturing costs."
