U.S. ROBOTICS APPOINTS HALL TREASURER

 SKOKIE, Ill., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Robotics, Inc. (NASDAQ: USRX), today announced the appointment of C. David Hall to treasurer. Ross Manire, U.S. Robotics CFO and senior vice president, operations, made the announcement. Hall will be responsible for all treasury-related functions, including corporate finance, banking and investment bank relationships, cash management, insurance, investments and foreign exchange.
 Hall, 41, joins U.S. Robotics from Motorola Nortel Communications, where he was treasurer. At Motorola Nortel, a $750 million joint venture between Motorola and Northern Telecom, Hall was responsible for establishing that company's treasury department and overseeing borrowings, insurance and cash management. Prior to Motorola Nortel, Hall was assistant treasurer at Premark International, Inc., where he was in charge of corporate financing, banking, investments, worldwide pension finance and domestic cash management.
 Hall holds a master of management degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Tulsa.
 Married with two children, Hall lives in Wilmette, Ill.
