 U.S. NRC TO HOLD BRIEFING ON INSPECTION PROGRAM
 NRC Regional Administrator John B. Martin and members of the


Region V staff will conduct a briefing for the Portland area media Monday, July 27, 1992. The briefing will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be held at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel, Cascade Room A, 8235 N.E. Airport Way, Portland, Ore.
 The briefing will focus on the structure of the NRC inspection program and the Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP) process. This is one in an ongoing series of NRC briefings intended to improve communication with the media on NRC issues and activities generally.
 Martin and staff will also answer questions on NRC activities in the Portland area, including the Trojan Nuclear Plant and the Reed College Reactor.
