U.S. NAVY NOT PARTY TO RAYTHEON LAWSUIT
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Navy is not party

to the lawsuit Hughes Aircraft Co. has filed against Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN) as stated in a Raytheon press release issued Tuesday.
Hughes does not seek damages or costs of any sort from the Navy in this litigation. Hughes seeks only damages for Raytheon's breaches of contract and improper conduct on the leader/follower program for the AN/SLQ-32 shipboard countermeasures system.
The Navy in 1988 selected Hughes to be developed by Raytheon as the "second source" for the SLQ-32 program.
Hughes, which stands by all material assertions made in its complaints, filed the suit in the Superior Court, Santa Barbara County, Calif.
