 U.S. NAVY AWARDS HARRIS $11.7 MILLION CONTRACT
 FOR REMOTE-CONTROL RADIO TRANSMITTERS
 MELBOURNE, Fla., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S Navy has awarded Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS) an $11.7 million contract to provide remote controlled radio transmitters and related equipment onboard ships. The contract includes options that could increase the value to $27.7 million.
 Under the contract, Harris RF Communications will provide the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command with digitally tuned HF radio transmitters that can be controlled from a remote location.
 The transmitters will provide voice and data communications. Once installed, the new system will enable the Navy to control up to 31 shipboard transmitters from a single location.
