U.S. NAVY AWARDS $250 MILLION REMEDIAL ACTION CONTRACT TO OHM CORPORATION SUBSIDIARY

 FINDLAY, Ohio, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- OHM Corporation (NYSE: OHM) today announced that its OHM Remediation Services Corp. subsidiary has been awarded a Department of the Navy environmental remediation contract having a total potential value, including options, of $250 million over five years.
 The Multi-Contaminant Remedial Action contract, which is being administered by the Facilities Engineering Command, provides that OHM will remediate environmentally contaminated sites at Department of Navy and Marine Corps installations and other government agencies located in the Atlantic Division Naval Facilities Engineering Command (LANTDIV). These sites are generally on the U.S. East Coast, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. Specific projects may also be performed in the remaining LANTDIV areas of responsibility which include the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, and Africa.
 The contract is for an initial one-year term or $50 million and may be extended annually for four additional one-year terms of $50 million each at the option of the Navy. The company said that work under this contract will begin in September at an east coast naval facility. OHM's Northeast Region office in Trenton, N.J., will manage the remediation work.
