U.S. HOME CORPORATION ANTICIPATES INCREASING THE SIZE OF PUBLIC OFFERING OF CONVERTIBLE SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES

 HOUSTON, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Home Corporation (NYSE: UH) announced today that it anticipates increasing the size of its previously announced proposed public offering of convertible subordinated debentures due 2005 to $70 million principal amount from $60 million principal amount. The company will grant the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase an additional $10 million principal amount of the debentures to cover over-allotments. The company expects to file shortly an amendment to the registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission reflecting the increase in the offering. The offering will be made only by means of a prospectus.
