U.S. HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCES APPROVAL OF PENNSYLVANIA HMO RATES BLUE BELL, Pa., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Healthcare, Inc.
(NASDAQ: USHC), one of the nation's leading providers of managed health care services, today announced that the Insurance Department of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania approved an approximate 12 percent premium rate increase. The approved rates cover the period from Oct. 1, 1992 to Sept. 30, 1993 and apply to about 580,000 commercial HMO members in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area. The new rates become effective as groups renew health coverage for their employees.
U.S. Healthcare provides managed health care services through its HMOs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maryland.
