U.S. Global Investors' New Global Emerging Markets Fund Surpasses $5 Million in Assets.

SAN ANTONIO -- Fund Run With Same Models, Systems, Passion and Enthusiasm as the Eastern European Fund (EUROX)

U.S. Global Investors Inc. (NASDAQ:GROW) is excited to announce its Global Emerging Markets Fund (CUSIP:90330L501) has surpassed $5 million in assets under management since its initial launch on Thursday, February 24, 2005.

"When you have such great intellectual capital, it is easy to understand why investors are moving money into the Global Emerging Markets Fund," says Chief Investment Officer Frank Holmes. "Naturally, everyone knows that past performance is no guarantee of future results. However, the fund's managers have an outstanding track record and will be using the same models, systems, passion and enthusiasm they use in managing the Eastern European Fund (EUROX)."

The objective of the Global Emerging Markets Fund is to seek long-term capital growth through investments in emerging markets including, but not limited to: Hungary, Czech Republic, Mexico, South Africa, Poland, Chile, Israel, Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia.

"Lower price-to-earnings ratios, lower book values, higher dividend yields and a declining dollar are driving the performance of investments in emerging markets," says Holmes. "The Global Emerging Markets Fund complements our existing fund lineup of unique asset classes."

The Global Emerging Markets Fund is modeled on Charlemagne Capital's Magna Global Emerging Markets Fund, which is available only to investors in Europe.

U.S. Global Investors Eastern European Fund (EUROX) recently received the designation of "12-Month Winner" in the January 6, 2005 issue of the Wall Street Journal. The article is at The Eastern European Fund's total annualized returns for the 1-year, 3-year, 5-year and since inception periods are 52.37%, 48.98%, 25.41% and 17.00%, respectively, as of December 31, 2004.
