 U.S. FIRM ACQUIRES AUTOMOTIVE PUBLICATIONS FROM PRS CONSULTING
 NEWTOWN, Conn., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Connecticut-based Forecast International Inc. today announced that it had acquired all of the news services and publishing assets of London-based PRS Consulting International Ltd. The latter firm has been described as "The Global Authority in Automotive Industry Information."
 The acquisition includes the following print publications, some of which are also distributed via on-line computers through three data vendors in Europe and the United States.

 Forecast International is best known as a market intelligence publisher and consulting firm for the worldwide aerospace/defense industry. It is also involved in specialized transportation and power markets, with a strong presence in civil and military gas turbine power systems. Edward Nebinger, the firm's president said, "This acquisition strengthens our position in the highly important transportation and power industries and is part of our ongoing strategy to diversify into non-defense markets."
 This is Forecast International's second acquisition of a British- owned firm's assets in the past two years. In 1990, Forecast International acquired the assets of DMS Inc., a subsidiary of Janes Information Group.
