U.S. EXECUTIVES COLLABORATE TO MAXIMIZE HISPANIC MARKET

PHOENIX, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognizing the need to take an active role in the country's changing economy, the National Hispanic Corporate Council (NHCC) recently held a conference underscoring the business potential of the rapidly growing Hispanic market.
The conference, sponsored by anheuser-Busch Companies and the first in a series of four, brought together top executives from Fortune 500 companies across the United States.
"NHCC strives to promote the merits of the Hispanic market for the benefit of corporate American and Latinos and will continue to strengthen and build upon this relationship," said NHCC President Gustavo Pupo-Mayo.
Focusing on the current issues facing Hispanics in corporate America, the conference's agenda included the development and implementation of various strategies to empower corporate members to benefit from the growing U.S. Hispanic market and workforce. Among these strategies were a greater availability of information and analysis, more visibility within the mainstream business world and stronger coalition building. These efforts were designed to positively impact on the interest of corporate America and Hispanics.
Throughout the week, corporate members met in a variety of committees such as marketing, communications and development. Each committee examined current social and economic trends and ways of applying the Hispanic market to them. As a result, NHCC will offer at future conferences various workshops on diversity, employment, leadership and social issues affecting corporate objectives.
"As a founding member of NHCC, Anheuser-Busch Companies is proud of being associated with an organization that has effectively raised awareness of issues important to the Hispanic business community," said Sally Fernandez, director of corporate relations.
Established in 1985, NHCC is a network of Fortune 500 companies which meets quarterly to share information about the Hispanic market and to advocate increased employment, leadership and business opportunities for Hispanics.
Companies interested in maximizing opportunities with Hispanics by keeping abreast of upcoming issues and trends impacting the population nationally and regionally should contact NHCC at 602-495-1988.
