 U.S. BANK OF WASHINGTON APPOINTS NEW BOARD MEMBER
 SEATTLE, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Bank of Washington has


appointed Paul A. Redmond, chief executive officer of Spokane's Washington Water Power Co., to its board of directors, according to Joshua Green III, U.S. Bank of Washington chairman.
 "We are very pleased to welcome Paul Redmond to our board," said Green. "His business expertise and experience with the growth and development of the Inland Northwest will be extremely valuable to us as our bank continues to meet the commercial and retail banking needs of Eastern Washington and Idaho."
 A prominent Eastern Washington business leader, Redmond is one of the four founding chairmen of Momentum, an organization working to stimulate economic development and the creation of jobs in the Spokane area. He is also past chairman of the Washington State Health Care Commission and co-chaired the Washington State Economic Development Board with Gov. Booth Gardner.
 He is currently the chairman of the Spokane-area Chamber of Commerce and the director of Washington Roundtable. A retired lieutenant colonel in the Washington Air National Guard, Redmond earned degrees in biology and electrical engineering from Gonzaga University.
