U.S. Air Force officials visits Yemen.

Two senior U.S. commanders visited Yemen, the U.S. Embassy in Sana'a has said in a press release. The embassy said that Lieutenant General Michael Hostage, Commander of the U.S. Air Force Central Command (AFCENT), and Major General Richard Shook, Mobilization Assistant to the AFCENT Commander, visited on July 13. "This visit continues the long-standing relationship between AFCENT and the Yemen Air Force and reaffirms the commitment of the U.S. to assist Yemen in eliminating the threat that Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula poses to its security and stability", the embassy added. 1999 - 2009
