 U.S. AND RUSSIAN ENERGY OFFICIALS AGREE TO SET UP TASK FORCE
 ON ELECTRIC POWER TECHNOLOGIES COOPERATION
 WASHINGTON, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Russian Ministry of Fuels and Energy have agreed to set up a joint task force on cooperation in electric power technologies.
 Acting U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy Linda Stuntz and Anatoly F. D'Yakov, deputy minister of the Russian Federation Ministry of Fuels and Energy, signed a joint statement of intent today at DOE headquarters in Washington.
 The objectives of the task force are to exchange information on developments in the electric power industries in both countries and to encourage more extensive contacts among experts in this field in both countries.
 Stuntz said, "We are hopeful and confident that the contacts and exchange of information between the two countries will lead to expanded commercial relationships."
