 U.S. ALCOHOL TESTING ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT
 WITH NATIONAL TROOPERS COALITION
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- James C. Witham, president of U.S. Alcohol Testing of America, Inc., (AMEX: AAA) announced today that the National Troopers Coalition, after extensive due diligence, has decided to endorse USAT's FINAL CALL product. The company has signed a licensing agreement with the National Troopers Coalition which permits USAT to use their logo on all packaging and promotional material.
FINAL CALL is an inexpensive, disposable consumer alcohol breath tester which the company has just begun to market. The product is being represented by a nationwide sales force of over 100 manufacturer's representatives, and will be sold to major retail locations across the country.
"According to the National Commission Against Drunk Driving, 22,000 people die in alcohol related car crashes every year, and 560,000 are injured," said James Witham, president of U.S. Alcohol Testing. "We're hoping to reduce these numbers by encouraging people who have been drinking to test their alcohol level before they get behind the wheel of a car."
"Eradication of the drunk driving menace on the highways remains a priority with the nation's troopers," said Richard Darling, chairman of the National Troopers Coalition, "Prevention is a critical component of our total effort. That's why we support a product that will make people think twice before they drink and drive." According to Darling, social drinkers often do not know when they have reached the new lower legal blood alcohol limit which, depending on the state could be .08 or .10 percent B.A.C. In addition, many outside factors such as age, fatigue, meals recently eaten and drugs can affect a person's blood alcohol level. By using FINAL CALL, people can "make an informed decision, as opposed to a dangerous or costly guess, about whether or not to drive."
The National Troopers Coalition is a non-profit organization with 40,000 members from 46 states. Membership consists of state police and highway patrol officers. The NTC was formed in 1977 in response to the need for state police and highway associations to exchange information about law enforcement products, services and to discuss legislative issues and other concerns impacting law enforcement throughout the nation. Witham stated that the NTC logo on the FINAL CALL package will give the product greater credibility with consumers.
The company has stated that if state troopers, who are the ones dealing with drunk drivers and the carnage they create, have given FINAL CALL their endorsement then people will feel reassured about the quality and accuracy of the product.
