U-17 World Cup: Chile cancel practice due to late arrival.

Kolkata: The Chile U-17 World Cup team cancelled their scheduled unofficial practice session at the Calcutta Cricket and Football Club (CCFC) grounds as they arrived late on Sunday.

The 21-member Chile side landed in the city earlier in the day but got delayed in reaching their hotel, it was learnt. Chile are in the city to take part in the Fifa U-17 World Cup starting from October 6.

They play England in their Group F opener on October 8. Besides Chile and England, Iraq and Mexico are the other two teams in the group. They will play their matches at the refurbished Salt Lake Stadium. Meanwhile, Iraq are slated to arrive in the wee hours of Monday morning.
