Tyred and emotional; Race ace Coulthard's formula fun.

Byline: By RAYMOND HAINEY

RACING ace David Coulthard slumped over the wheel of his car after a night of formula fun with two mystery girls.

David, 34, left the driving up to a chauffeur as he and fellow racer Jenson Button zoomed between a couple of nightclubs.

But the two F1 millionaires may soon have to give up their playboy lifestyles.

Red Bull racer Coulthard is expected to marry long-time girlfriend, model Simone Abdelnour.

And 25-year-old BAR star Button, is set to tie the knot with singer girlfriend Louise Griffiths in August. But neither Simone or Louise were there to join in the fun as Coul sprawled inside the Mercedes MPV in London.

One watcher said: 'It was hilarious - there's less jockeying for position at the start of a grand prix.

'Coulthard and Button had clearly had a good night and were still out to enjoy themselves.

'But Coulthard obviously wasn't happy at being photographed and started to climb into the back.

Pitstop

'They'd clearly had a skinful - it's just as well they left the driving up to a chauffeur.'

Coulthard was snapped in the early hours of yesterday as he left Umbaba nightclub.

He and Button then made another pitstop at celebrity hangout 5 Cavendish Square.

And they headed home minus the girls - so there's no risk of either of their girlfriends showing them the black flag.

Brazilian-born Simone has been a permanent fixture in Coulthard's life for three years. The two share an apartment in Monte Carlo, attached to the hotel Coulthard part-owns with Scots hotelier Ken McCulloch.

It's a far cry from the Scot's home town of Twynholm, Kircudbrightshire.

The millions he has made from his skill on the track transformed his life.

He has racked up 11 grand prix wins and spent more than a decade at the top of motor sport.

Coulthard's race career shifted down a gear after he was dumped by McLaren Mercedes and left without a drive.

He has since signed up with F1 newcomers Red Bull and is fighting to re-establish himself as one of the sport's leading drivers.
