Two suspected drug carriers held at IIA.

RAWALPINDI -- A passenger was brought down from a plane at Islamabad International Airport (IIA) by officials of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) after they received intelligence that he was carrying ice heroin on Friday.

According to airport sources, Akhtarur Rehman had gone through security and customs checks to board an Etihad Airways flight for Abu Dhabi.

Before the doors of the plane were closed, the authorities concerned were alerted that the passenger was carrying ice heroin.

The ANF officials along with security staff entered the plane and took the passenger into custody.
