Two person art show concludes.

ISLAMABAD -- The two person art show by print makers Iram Wani and Aleem Dad Khan concluded here Thursday showing the fusion of traditional and modern arts in the country.

The exhibition offered exquisite collection of 27 art pieces that explored the reflection of the experiences of artists and their vision about modern arts.

Aleem Dad's work was the creation of his unique experiences in which he took inspiration from his own vision and his birthplace Hunza, in the Northern Areas of Pakistan, one of the highest regions in the world, to Lahore and then further to the Swansea print workshop and streets of Swansea, Wales and then to Islamabad, where he currently resides.

Through his work, he explored his own path towards his understanding of life and everything he believes in.

Iram's work was a reflection of her inner world, emotional responses to passages and experiences in life. "I always go back to nature as the source of my inspiration. The objects and colors from my environment are the symbols of my thought process. Every new image produced is interlinked with the previous one thus forming a chain in itself. I believe in my inner self, the more conscious and unconditioned part of my being and my work is an autonomous activity," she said.

Her focus in art is printmaking, more specifically the linocut, collagraph and the etching process. She like investigating the new techniques and also like to keep the work enriched with traditional techniques of printmaking.
