Two killed in light aircraft crash horror.

TWO people on a microlight aircraft died when it "nosedived" into a field.

The plane crashed at 5pm yesterday and the pilot and passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

Witness John Taylor, 37, said: "I happened to look up and see the plane. All seemed normal but then it seemed to be getting lower.

"All of a sudden it nosedived to the ground." The Air Accident Investigations Branch has launched a probe into the tragedy at Shifnal, Shrops.

Shifnal airfield is nearby, where the Wrekin Microlight Flying Club is based.

Police Superintendent Kevin Purcell said: "This is a very sad incident. We are contacting next of kin."
