Two evil killers struck on same day in 2008.
TWO mothers, Giselle Ross and June Thomson, were brought together after their estranged husbands, Ashok Kalyanjee and Rab Thomson, slaughtered their children on the same day - May 3, 2008.
Kalyanjee, 49, took Paul Ross, six, and his little brother Jay, two, and slashed their throats.
He tried to burn their bodies in the back of a car in the Campsie Fells, near Lenzie, leaving behind taunting messages for his ex-wife Giselle, 44, from Royston, Glasgow.
Thomson, 53, stabbed learning disabled daughter Michelle, 27, and her brother Ryan, seven, 26 times then posed their bloodied bodies in bedrooms at their home in Buckhaven, Fife, before lying on his own bed to await his estranged wife's return.
I helped the devastated women write their book, Beyond All Evil, the firstever true life examination of family annihilators and what makes them tick.
You could not have found two more different women - or two more different men.
Manipulative Kalyanjee homed in on Giselle and swept her off her feet with promises of a perfect family life.
Thomson was a brute who beat and raped June, 52, into submission, moving her across Scotland and away from her family so no-one could interfere with his obsessive controlling.
Kalyanjee was sentenced to 21 years and is appealing his conviction while Thomson got 17 years.
Neither men have showed any remorse and neither have offered any explanation for their actions.
Their crimes were carefully planned and carried out to inflict the maximum amount of pain for the two women.
Psychologists who have studied their cases have described them as typical family annihilators.
