Two arrests over drivers' gun ordeal; ROBBERIES.

TWO men have been arrested after a woman in her 60s was kidnapped at gunpoint, driven around in her car and made to hand over PS100.

She was dumped back at home in Lymington, Hants, 15 minutes later and the gunman drove off in her silver Peugeot 207.

Police said the case was similar to the gunpoint robbery of a 64-year-old Porsche 911 driver at nearby Brockenhurst rail station in the New Forest.

Two local men, aged 44 and 48, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

New Forest district commander Chief Insp Tony Rowlinson said the arrests came after a public appeal.

He said: "Information received gave us new leads which had to be followed sensitively as well as swiftly."
