Two's company for Lynne and Louis.

JIM Cartwright's Two, a comic and touching slice of English life set in a Northern pub in the 1980s, comes to St Helens Theatre Royal next week.

The play stars Lynne Fitzgerald (Desperate Scousewives, Night Collar, The Salon) and Louis Emerick (Layer Cake, Holby City, Ciggie Run) who over the course of the evening embody the characters of the landlord and landlady along with 12 pub regulars.

Lynne says: "Louis and I are thrilled to be bringing Two to the Theatre Royal.

"This is one of the most challenging acting jobs I've been involved in. Playing seven different roles and never leaving the stage empty can be quiet daunting as well as jumping from one emotion to the next.

"The play has fantastic comedy characters you can really get your teeth into."

? Two is at St Helens Theatre Royal from May 18-20.

Tickets are pounds 13, with concessions pounds 11 and Saturday matinee pounds 9, on 01744 756000.
