Twit Guy's capital offense.
Byline: KEITH FALKINERGUY Pearce has been forced to make a grovelling apology to his homeland.
The actor slagged off the Australian capital of Canberra claiming Kylie Minogue would hate him for saying she was from the city saying, "there's a lot wrong about Canberra".
Pearce, who was raised in Melbourne, added: "People from Canberra usually deny they are from Canberra."
But in a letter to The Canberra Times newspaper, the LA Confidential star tried to make amends for his comments.
He said: "I'm writing to sincerely apologise for the comments I recently made - I'm such a twit for doing this and feel so embarrassed and mortified at what I said. I have no excuse for doing what I did.
"I'm so proud of Australia. Please accept my apology. I give you permission to abuse me in the street and tell me my films are crap."
