AUSTIN, Texas -- Vignette Corp. (NASDAQ:VIGND) today announced that it has named Brett Bachman as senior vice president of products, strategy and worldwide marketing. In this role, Bachman will drive Vignette's products, marketing and go-to-market strategies, and is charged with guiding the product lifecycle process from product requirements definition through positioning, packaging, and deliverables for Vignette's award-winning enterprise content management solutions.

"Brett's impressive career as a leader at many of the world's best known and respected enterprise software companies makes me confident that he will make an immediate and profound impact at Vignette," said Thomas E.
