The small Pacific nation of Tuvalu is reportedly earning USD1m per quarter after signing over the rights for its '.tv' Internet suffix to a Canadian company in 1998.
Around 170,000 organisations around the world have registered a domain name with the dotTV company, according to the BBC.
The new money has effectively doubled the GDP of Tuvalu, which is made up of nine islands, and is paying for a new school and a new runway for the airport, as well as road and electricity projects.
