Turtle joke goes down the drain.

A sid him A COUNCIL did not see the funny side of a barber's joke and fined him PS240.

Crimper Patrick Forster placed three signs on drain covers saying the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were hiring and to "enquire within."

Tgth " But Newcastle City Council sent an environmental health officer to formally caution the 31-yeaold for fly posting at his shop on High Bridge, Newcastle.

He said: "I asked why the council could have not just called and asked me to remove them - they were just stuck down with masking tape.

"But he was deadly serious and said 'No, it's against the law and I have to caution you.' A city council spokesman said that although the authority could see the lighter side of the poster, fly posting was still illegal.
