Turkmen-Mongolian political consultations: visa exception deal, memo of cooperation signed.

A delegation of Turkmenistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov paid a working visit to Mongolia last week, reports the press service of the Turkmen foreign ministry.

Meredov met with President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj.

Besides the president, Meredov also met with Prime Minister of Mongolia Chimed Saikhanbileg. They discuss the Turkmen-Mongolian relations in oil and gas sphere.

The political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries have been held in Ulan Bator.

The parties discussed the issues related to the visit of President of Mongolia to Turkmenistan later this year.

They reviewed drafts documents due to be signed during the visit of President of Mongolia.

Following the political consultations, the sides signed the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of Mongolia on the mutual exemption of visas for holders of diplomatic and service/official passports and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
