Turkmen team reaches final of AFC President's Cup 2014.

Team of Turkmenistan has reached the final of the President's Cup 2014 of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The success was achieved by winning of a qualifying match in Group B held in Bacolod, Philippines, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reported.

The first match was won against the team from Taiwan - Tatung Company - 2-0; and the second match against North Korean Rimyongsu tied 1-1.

The last qualifying match in Group B was held against Ceres La Salle of the Philippines. They managed to score on the 20th minute, but the Turkmen team squared later. On the 4th added minute, Turkmenistan scored another goal and finished the match 2-1.

As a result, the team has 7 points. Rimyongsu finished in the second position with 5 points after the victory over Taiwan.

In the coming days, six best teams of Group A and Group B will be announced. The final AFC tournament will be held in September.
