Turkish Investors Eye Iran`s Tourism Sector.

In a meeting with the Turkish investors, Managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization gave a detailed elaboration of the advantages and potentials of investment in the region`s various economic fields. Davood Madadi said that some 16 Turkish investors have announced readiness to make investment in the fields of hotel management, restaurant management, clothing production and distribution and air lines. The two sides decided to hold final negotiations on the subject on December 19, Madadi added. Head of Turkish delegation, for his part, said that some 120 Turkish investors have traveled to Iran to attend the second conference on Iran`s Tourism Investment Opportunities. Mr. Salaman, who is managing director of Dortyol Companies in Turkey, added that among the above mentioned investors, some 16 ones have visited Kish Island to review investment opportunities there. "Fortunately Turkish investors have received a positive perspective of the region and they have got better acquaintances with the regions` facilities to entertain tourists including hotels, airport, customs and trade centers," he added. He also called on Iranian officials to give free lands to foreign investors to boost investment in Kish Island. 2008/11/12
