Turkey and Germany cooperate in solar energy.

ISTANBUL, February 01, 2012 (A.A) - Turkish Merk Solar Energy will make cooperation with German Gehrlicher Solar company in solar energy market. The two companies have equal shares in the joint firm they established under the name Gehrlicher Merk Solar Energy Corp. The company will be based in Istanbul, and serve in photovoltaic markets in Turkey and neighboring countries. Photovoltaic is a method of generating electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity using semiconductors that exhibit the photovoltaic effect. Gehrlicher Solar company's executive Klaus Gehrlicher said that the company was established in 1994, and it had experience in all areas of solar sector. He added that the solar investment in Turkey would reach million euro figures in 2012 and 2013.
