Tupac Shakur biopic to be helmed by John Singleton.

Washington, Feb 14 ( ANI ): 'Boyz N the Hood' director John Singleton will be helming an as-of-yet untitled biopic based on late American rapper and actor Tupac Shakur, it has been revealed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Singleton had previously worked with the 'California Love' hit maker in 1993's 'Poetic Justice'.

Singleton said that Shakur was the guy who he planned to do a lifetime of films with and his passing deeply affected his life as well as countless people in this world.

Singleton, who will also be rewriting and producing the film, added that Shakur's life story is important to his generation.

'Holler If Ya Hear Me' a musical based on Shakur, who was shot dead in Las Vegas in 1996, is also set to hit Broadway in June. ( ANI )
