Tunisias new ambassador to Cyprus presents credentials.

During an official ceremony held at the presidential palace in Nicosia, Mr. Habib Achour presented to Cypriot President Demetris Christofias his credentials as Tunisia's ambassador to Cyprus.

The Cypriot President entrusted him with conveying warmest regards to president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali as well as wishes of further prosperity to the Tunisian people.

He expressed admiration for the achievements carried out in Tunisia in the different fields under the clear-sighted leadership of the head of state.

He also hailed Tunisia's important role and the laudable initiatives of president Ben Ali to promote cooperation and partnership in the Mediterranean area .

Besides, the Cypriot president voiced satisfaction at the good ties established between Tunisia and Cyprus on the one hand and Tunisia and the European Union on the other hand, affirming will to further strengthen these ties.

Tunisia's ambassador extended for his part to president Christofias the regards of President Ben Ali and expressed Tunisia's will to further enrich and diversify relations with Cyprus in all fields.
