Tunisian-Algerian working session held.

TUNIS, Nov. 24, 2010 (TAP) - A Tunisian-Algerian working session was held, on Wednesday in Tunis, under the co- chairmanship of Messrs. Mondher Zenaidi, Public Health Minister and Algeria's Health, Population and Hospital Reform Minister Djamel Ould Abbas.

The meeting, attended by members of the two countries' delegations, reviewed the fraternity and co-operation relations binding the two countries and their keenness to further develop bilateral co-operation in the health field.

The two sides agreed to vitalise bilateral agreements signed in this sector. They stressed the importance of making the most of the opportunities offered to bolster partnership in the fields of new and emerging diseases, fight against cancer, non transmissible diseases and training of medical executives, as well as production of medicaments and vaccines.

In this connection, the Algerian minister commended the level reached by Tunisia in matters of medicaments making.

The Algerian delegation is taking part in the international health and well-being fair "MED HEALTH Tunisia Destination Health," held in Sfax on November 25-27, 2010.
