Tunisia to create fresh investment fund.

| TUNIS, Jan 4 (KUNA) -- Tunisian Minister of Development and Planning Jameleddine Gharbi said here on Friday a fresh investment fund would be established in Tunisia soon, with the government contributing 300 million Tunisian dinar, or 15 percent.

The fund will be financed out of internal and external sources, including banks, private investment firms and individuals, the minister told a news conference.

The fund, which will be launched soon, will help in the execution of 15 projects in the country's 24 provinces, he added.

It will bankroll and facilitate investment projects and support Tunisia's development and exports, the minister pointed out. (end) KUNA 042208 Jan 13NNNN
